Comic relief Day - Friday 15th March.

Reception

Croeso i Reception!

We are really looking forward to meeting our new Reception children. We have many exciting activities planned!

May Day Celebrations

We can't believe it, but we are now in the Summer term! Our new topic is 'What is a reflection?' We are going to be thinking about: Why can we see our reflection in certain materials? Are a butterflies wings the same?  What is a shiny material? Plus lots more!

Our chicks are growing!

Celebrating World Book Day!

Our spring topic is 'Do cows drink milk?' We will be exploring questions about life on a farm and animals that live there. We are also going to be looking at where food comes from, seeds and growing, healthy eating and farm machinery. We may even have some special visitors to look after!

This term our topic is ‘Why don’t snakes have legs?’ We will be finding out about reptiles. We will explore their characteristics and habits, how to look after them, their body parts, habitats and much, much more!

A Visit from Cinderella's Evil-Stepmother

Messy Mondays!

Every Monday after half-term, we will be providing the children with Messy Monday sessions. This will consist of ‘messy’ activities, such as mud kitchen, gardening, baking, junk modelling and clay modelling.

We are in the process of ordering waterproofs but would appreciate if you could send in wellies, clearly labelled with your child’s name. If you do have any spare waterproofs and cooking aprons, these would be gratefully received.

We are also looking for any donations of old pots and pans and cooking utensils for the children to use in our mud kitchen.

We will endeavour to keep your child clean by ensuring they wear adequate waterproofs and aprons but we cannot guarantee that they will remain completely clean.

Messy Mondays will prove to be an exciting addition to our weekly timetable and we look forward to sharing the results of our activities with you.
