Please can you bring your child's book bag to school every day. This is important because we will read with your child on a different day each week.
Books and Reading Records will be collected on a Monday. Once the children have read with a member of the Year 1 Teaching Team a new book will be sent home.
We love to hear about your child's reading experience at home. The Remarks column in your child's yellow Reading Record is an opportunity for you to share this with us.
If your child would like to do so, please encourage them to complete a 'Follow up' activity related to their book. This could include drawing and labelling a picture from the story, retelling the story or writing a letter to a character from the book.
