  • Welcome

Croeso! A very warm welcome to the website of our happy and successful school. I am very proud to be the Headteacher of Howardian Primary School where it is an honour and a privilege to work with a dedicated team of governors, staff and amazing children.

Our school motto is 'Exploring Together, Learning Forever’. This encapsulates our ethos that all members of our school community are enthusiastic, lifelong, ambitious and capable learners who demonstrate a collaborative and caring attitude towards school life.

One of the many strengths of our school is its diversity and inclusivity.  All pupils at Howardian are encouraged to explore their potential and achieve their best. I am committed to ensuring that every pupil not only develops academically, but also grows socially and emotionally, balancing their academic excellence with their wellbeing and building healthy and positive relationships.

We place great emphasis on developing a strong partnership between home and school; it is through working together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support that we can provide what is best for our children.

Howardian Primary places strong emphasis on Outdoor Learning. Our grounds are incredible with a forest school area on site and a nature reserve on our doorstep.  Each year group from Nursery to Year 2 has its own designated area where pupils are able to access the outdoors in order to enhance their learning opportunities. We also have a strong record of success in the Expressive Arts and Sports.

Everything we do with children in our care is to educate and support them to achieve the four core purposes of the Curriculum for Wales, becoming:

    • ambitious, capable learners

    • ethical, informed citizens

    • enterprising, creative contributors

    • healthy, confident individuals

Please take time to explore our website and do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any further queries.

    Diolch yn Fawr,

    Warmest Regards,

    Mrs Sian Burt (Headteacher)
